Melissa Glasser Bruzera was born in June 1975 in Newport News, VA. Growing up in Washington, DC, she was exposed to painting at an early age by her father, artist and teacher, the late David T. Glasser. In 1997, she received a BFA from the University of Colorado with an emphasis in painting and ceramics. She moved to New York City where she continued to create and exhibit artwork that emphasizes the female figure through color and pattern. In 2003 she moved to the Gateway art district in Mt. Rainier, MD. She continues to work in oils from her Brentwood studio and is also involved in public art commissions for murals in the Gateway Arts District, the Port Towns and surrounding communities.
